Buster Keaton's Sherlock Jr. (1925), silent film

Below is a link to a video of Buster Keaton's SHERLOCK JR. (1925).  This musical score was commissioned by the Society for New Music, in Syracuse, New York, and premiered at Le Moyne College on Sept. 9, 2025.

INSTRUMENTATION (6 players plus conductor):

  • Clarinet (doubling on B-flat and Bass)
  • Saxophone (doubling on soprano and tenor)
  • Violin
  • Double Bass (acoustic)
  • Percussion, one player (snare drum, small suspended cymbal, castanets, 2 cowbells - large/small, 2 wood blocks - high/low, triangle, glockenspiel, xylophone)
  • Piano
